    Default Query with action

We have a unique situation that we mainly use CGM for 10 days of church family camp. We have about 2500 people on our camp and we track all people as customers.
So comes the time of Check-in...
Can I generate a button or check box in a query that would change the reservation status to checked in? This would save opening 1500+ reservation dialog windows to manually change.
Can a query be used to enter/change data?
    Or possibly an alternative idea.

    Thanks,

    Kurt

If you're going to Reservation Details on each one to check them in, you're doing it the hard way already. There's a "Check In" option on the right-click menu -- use that and it will skip Reservation Details. To further streamline it:

    - Go to Maintenance / Program Options / Prompts, and uncheck "Ask for confirmations for simple..." so it will skip the "Check in?" prompt.
    - If they won't owe anything (and no charges need to be added, etc.) so you don't need to open the Transactions dialog, then go to Maintenance / Program Options / Transactions and uncheck the "Checking in" box (for Open a Transactions dialog when...).

With those two options disabled, check-in is just 2 clicks per reservation (right-click, Check In).

You could get it down to one double-click by creating a Query (e.g. listing the arrivals for the day) and putting a double-click action in a column definition, but that's probably not any easier that 2 clicks (especially if people have trouble with double-clicks).
