Send E-mail (Preview)

Top  Previous  Next

This dialog shows the E-mail you're about to send, and allows you to modify the various details beforehand.  It's similar to the Email functionality of most E-mail programs.  It will be invoked from various places:

From Customer Details, by clicking the blue "E-mail" link next to the E-mail address (opens a blank E-mail to send your own message)

From Transactions, after going through "E-mail Confirmation" or "Send E-mail Form" and clicking OK to send, if Preview is selected.

From Reservation Details or Customer Details, after going through "E-mail Form",  and clicking OK to send, if Preview is selected.

From any of the various Batch E-mailing functions, if Preview is selected.

Of course before this can appear, you will have to perform the SMTP setup so Campground Master can sent E-mail (as covered in the previous section).

To -- this is the E-mail address it will be sent to.  This should already be filled in with the customer's E-mail address.  If you want to send to multiple addresses, you can either add them here, using the semicolon ( ; ) separating them, or use the CC or BCC fields.

Name -- This is the recipient's name of course.

CC -- Add additional E-mail addresses here to "carbon copy".    Note that any CC E-mail address(es) already configured in SMTP Setup will not appear here, and cannot be removed from here, but the message will still be CC'ed to them.  Any addresses you add here get a copy in addition to those already configured in SMTP Setup.

BCC -- Add additional E-mail addresses here to "blind carbon copy".  Note that any BCC E-mail address(es) already configured in SMTP Setup will not appear here, and cannot be removed from here, but the message will still be BCC'ed to them.  Any addresses you add here get a copy in addition to those already configured in SMTP Setup.

Attachments -- File attachments will be listed here.  Use the browse button to select attachment(s).  For multiple files, the "pipe" character ( | ) must be used.  Each file must have the full path.

Subject -- Subject line for the E-mail.

Message -- The body of the E-mail.  Only plain text will be shown.  If an HTML E-mail form was used, you will see the raw HTML coding here -- be careful not to modify it in a way that would cause HTML errors.
