    Default xcharge vs verisign

We have used the "go hercules" online system for over 5 years and have yet to sync this with campground master. Well the time has come. Evidently, "go hercules" is changing how they process credit card transactions in a big kind of way. We found this out after noticing we stopped receiving reimbursement. That's another story. So now we are looking to choose between xcharge and verisign and sync with campground master. Any one have any comments on either of these processors?

    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

I assume you know that you would need to purchase additional software to link with Verisign (we recommend PC Charge Pro, NOT IC Verify).

Also note that if you use X-Charge, then Hercules can use the same processor (which I believe means "immediate" payment). I'm not sure if that's true if you use Verisign.

Default ic verify seems to work

We use ic verify beause our merchant company came with a banking relationship and that's who they used at the time. Now we can change but I must ask what kind of problems did you find with ic verify? Our delay is 2 or 3 days. I do know that xcharge is immediate (not sure what that will be in days). Of course we will be checking the fees between different processors. I will diffinately take your advice though.

Since we have computerized I would say 80% of our gross comes in credit cards. I found it interesting that Leisure interactive has made major changes to their business model to address this whole processing issue. They want no part of that relationship anymore. I guess they have gone "all in" on the management side and stepped back from the processing credit card (playing the float) side of the business.

    Thanks,
    Brian

The new versions of IC Verify (4.1, 4.2) have issues with their integration. They require using their encryption DLL, which we do, but sometimes they can't even get it to work correctly. Also, their response codes are confusing and sometimes report that a transaction succeeded when it didn't and vice versa, e.g. with international cards. We've just seen too many bugs in their software and mistakes in their documentation, and no longer have faith that the processing will work correctly.

Default X-Charge has plenty is issues too.

With X-Charge we find the same thing. Cards are coming back as declines then we are finding the charge did go through. Reset the time out to maximum and still finding the same issues. Waiting for a call back from X-Charge support now, after a 45 minute hold. It was good before the switch to the chip reader.
