    Default Inventory Cleanup

I am trying to clean up my POS inventory items that we no longer carry. I understand not wanting to delete an item but I can't seem to find the right screen that allows one to make an inventory item "inactive". Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    Kathy,

There should be an "Inactive" checkbox at the bottom of the Edit Inventory Item dialog (Maintenance / POS Inventory Setup / Inventory items / Edit item).

If you don't see it, then you might have disabled that field and need to re-enable it (Maintenance / Data Field Definitions / Inventory Item Fields).

In Quick Books, inventory can be merged when you have similiar items or if you just want to combine products. I would really like to see something like that for CGM inventory. It would sure help to keep inventory list from getting so long. Naomi

We are planning on this -- allowing a single inventory item to have any number of scan codes associated with it.
