Soda Pop Deposit and ECO Fee

We are selling Soda and need to put in a Deposit and ECO Fee for each soda, of course each size has a different amount of deposit and ECO fee. Is there a way for this amount to automatically be added to each item as a category.

No, there isn't any way to automatically add other charges to POS items. It only supports the single charge in the single line item/category.

Can you explain how to add this surcharge. I have looked in the help under POS - surcharge and Surcharges but I am not able to find how to add the surcharge.

Assuming you're using version 8.0 which supports it, you need to add a Discount (item-specific), and check the "Treat as a Surcharge" box in the discount definition. This option is explained here:

I have added 2 surcharges, one for deposit fee and one for eco fee. When I go into the POS and do a sale only one of them shows up as a surcharge (the first one under "Item-specific Discount Pricing Schedules"). Right now they are listed as Eco Fee (1st) then Deposit Fee (2nd), so the eco fee shows up, if I move Deposit to the 1st item, then deposit fee shows up. Are you able to put two or more items?

Only one surcharge can be used at a time (and one discount) -- the first one that "applies". It allows multiple so you can use the conditions to determine which one to use. If you would never have any discounts for the item, you could make one of them a "discount" with a negative amount, which will do the same as a surcharge but look a little odd on the receipt. (The Surcharge option was recently added to avoid having to use negative discounts for bottle deposits).

Otherwise, you'll have to add them into one surcharge value.
