Customizing Select Rate(s) dialog

Is there a way to set a Show Rate Type of "All Rate Types" as default? Also, I would like to have the Override checkbox checked by default.

Great question! I would also be curious to know if this is possible.

No, it's not possible to do either of these, and there are reasons.

1. Any rate used in Reservation Transactions should be a Rental Rate or Add-On, except under unusual circumstances. You don't want to have to sift through a bunch of seldom-used Miscellaneous rates or Merchandise rates, etc. every time you select a rate.

2. If you don't see the Rental/Add-on rates that should apply to the reservation, then your rates aren't defined properly -- e.g. you have the wrong things selected in the "Applies only to" section so the rate isn't qualified for that reservation.

Thanks for the quick response Stan. Our use would be for commonly used items that customers purchase upon check-in such as firewood and ice. I think I just need to revisit the rate settings and consider listing these items as add-ons.
