    Default AutoCalc & Conf letter not showing rates

    Ok, this one is baffling. . . . some - and only some - of our daily reservations will not autocalc the rate, and will not show an amount when sending confirmation letters via eMail. Others work just fine, no problems with either. I've looked and looked at at the reservation, the customer record, and everywhere else, but unable to find anything different between the ones that do not work, and the ones that do.

    I've checked my rates, pick lists, and everywhere else I can think of to no avail. FWIW, I can go in to either the reservation screen or conf letter and manually select the correct rates.

    Where should I look next??

    Most likely some subtle issue with the rates, like the date ranges or something. I would have to get your database to check it out.

    Thanks, Stan. Here's another oddity that we found today - when checking in a reservation and pressing autocalc, it now will only calculate part of the stay. For example, a resident checks in for 3 days, but the system only calcs 2 days. I've checked a couple of reservations, and the ones I checked did the same thing.

    Still database, or is this something that makes sense?

    That could be a date range problem again, or "applies for a maximum of..." setting, or possibly some of the days of the week are unchecked. If you can't find it, send the database.

    Well, I think I figured it out. Somewhere along the line, in the data fields definitions, I turned off Sunday. Sunday just was not a day of the week for us!! What appeared to be happening was, when trying to autocalc or send a conf email, and when Sunday was involved, it would not calculate right because Sunday didn't exist. . . .

    Still checking further to make sure, but that looks to be where the issue was. . .

    I tell ya. . . just can't leave people alone with the equipment. . . . .
