The function View / Background Tasks (Threads) is strictly a diagnostics tool, and should be ignored unless technical support asks you to check something.
This will show status and prior activity of certain tasks that run in the background, such as auto-saving the database, auto-backups, full database refreshes, and certain report generation jobs.
Warning! Making any changes here, or in the Configuration, could severely slow down your system! The default settings are designed to make the best use of the processor on that computer. Do not make any changes without consulting technical support.
As such, these functions are not documented in detail here.
