Making the text larger on the screen

(Revised for version 8.0 and later)

Q:  How can I make the font larger?  The small size is tough on my eyes.

A: There are settings for Font Size under Maintenance / Program Options / Formats.

While the size of some parts of the program change automatically with Windows settings, like the dialogs and menus, the font used for controls in tab view and grids is defined in the program.  The normal size is considered a size of 12 (don't worry about what this number actually means).  You can increase the size to a higher number if needed to see the text better on your computer.  A small increase to 13 or 14 may be all that's needed.  There are 3 different areas that can be independently changed:

Tab view controls -- this is for the row of controls above the main grids in the Tab views, e.g. the From & To date selections, Reset/Today button, etc.

Tab view grids -- this is for the main grids in the Tab views themselves, e.g. the Rack, Arrivals, Departures, etc.

Other grids (in dialogs) -- this is for grids used inside dialogs, e.g. Find Reservation and other reports that open a new window.

Alternatively, you may want to make everything bigger on your computer, which will also affect Campground Master.  Experiment with the Display settings/properties through Windows -- try changing the "DPI" settings, or change it to "Large Fonts", or as a last resort, lower the Screen Resolution (note that this would also affect the area available for a Map).

The specific way to get to these settings varies depending on the Windows version you're using, but start by right-clicking on your desktop (a blank area) and select "Properties" or "Personalize".

Note also that if you've done any customizations to dialogs (through Advanced Customizations), then changing the font settings could affect the arrangement of any new controls added to the dialogs (since the pixel locations of the standard controls will change).
