Version 6.1.4 Release Notes
Top

These release notes list all changes since the version 6.0 release. Changes to 6.1.2 and 6.1.4 (since the 6.1 release) are shown in a separate section at the top.

To upgrade to this release, you only need to install it over your current version. There is no need to uninstall the previous version. Any previous versions will be upgraded automatically -- you do not need to install previous upgrades before this one, and all of your data and settings will be retained (except for the "demo" database file, which will be replaced with a new version). It will make some automatic changes to your database to bring it up to date, so there may be a slightly longer delay the first time you open it.

Upgrade License Expiration Note:
To use this version, your free-upgrades license must be current through 3 / 2012. To check your free-upgrades license expiration date, go to View / Product Authorizations and check the "Upgrades free through" date.

Networking Note:
Be sure that all workstations are upgraded at the same time (shut down all workstations, upgrade all of them, then restart them one by one starting with the master workstation).

6.1.4 changes (made after 6.1.2 release)

·Fixed "Change Due" shown if multiple payments entered in one transactions session

·Fixed so Inactive sites don't affect the rack column width (inactive site with super-long Abbr field caused a problem)

·IC Verify -- Fixed crash if the IC Verify path set up in cc processing setup does not exist.
·IC Verify -- Added customer name to request if track data not present
·IC Verify -- Check to see if ICV request file is able to be written successfully, else show error
·IC Verify -- fixed handling of Partial Payment response (for prepaid cards, etc.)
·IC Verify -- handle some other error responses that appeared to be "ok"
·IC Verify -- added an option to UN-register the ICVTnsClient.DLL, if necessary for re-installations

6.1.2 changes (made after 6.1 release)

·IC Verify users (credit ard processing) -- added "Use XML" option, so formatting can be reverted back to the old method if needed

·IC Verify users (credit ard processing) -- Fixed to recognize "NA" as a valid response for Refund transactions, to fix some processors.

·Audit Trail -- include more complete credit card processing reponse information, for troubleshooting purposes.

·Fixed a bug causing Don't Move reservations to show as available if Confirmed or Guaranteed -- this bug had existed for many versions, but was just now discovered.

·Allow user added fields to be used as attributes if they are Request/Attrib types, even if the name doesn't follow the "Attrib_" rules.

6.1 Changes specific to ICVerify users (credit card processing):

·Changed interface to use "XML" format for requests, which resolves problems with certain processors (like Heartland) having different formats.

·As a result of the XML change, CVC codes may now successfully be used with IC Verify processing

·Added support for ICVerify 4.10 and 4.20 versions. Select "ICV410" for the DLL version, for both IC Verify 4.10 and IC Verify 4.20.
·Note that a new DLL must be registered, which the IC Verify installation does not register automatically. The first time you try to process a card, if the DLL is not registered then Campground Master will offer to register it. This should work, so tell Cmapground Master to register it and then try processing again.
·Also note that there is a new ICVTnsClient.dll.config file that is used. This should work automatically if you use only one computer, or if IC Verify is on the same computer as the Campground Master "master" (server) computer. If you are configured differently, and/or you have the clients set up to directly access IC Verify instead of processing cards through the master, then you will need to manually modify this file for the IP address of the IC Verify server.

6.1 Other Changes and Enhancements:

·Confirmation letters -- added an option for whether to include "Payment" transactions in the Deposit amount. Previous versions always included payments, so this gives you the option to exclude Payment transactions and only include Deposits (and Dep Xfers).

·X-Charge -- correctly handle the new Partial Approval parameter and response. Includes the balance on the receipt if it was returned

·Debit card processign (X-Charge) - don't print Auth # on debit card receipts (auth codes are not valid for debit)

·Added "Delete Log Files" function to the Program Files / Database dialog, in case it needs to be done in a non-networked system.

·When checking out, make sure it warns if a Guest resv has an outstanding balance

·Refunds -- auto-print (and auto-save) transacitons, if the option is set to auto-print or auto-save when a payment is entered

·Added expression function StartNewReservation() to open the New Reservation dialog with site/customer/dates provided

6.1 Other Bug Fixes:

·Fixed a lot of issues with Network Synchronization alerts, to avoid a "looping" issue making it difficult to clear them
· Don't allow Request Full Database from the Alert, since that caused problems
· Disable Net Sync alerts by default, sinec most people didn't know what they meant or how to handle them anyway. They can be re-enabled if needed.
· Make sure that if disabled, it removes the alert from the viewing queue also.

·Fixed bug with Audit trail entries not showing the text of E-mail confirmations
·Fixed audit trail compression to be more efficient
·Fixed audit trail filtering to be more efficient
·Cleaned up audit trail entries generated when sites are swapped
·Allow "Record added" entries in audit trail for reservations, customers, vendors, and inventory items

·Fixed a bug causing Canceled sub-members to not be unlinked from the rest

·Fix so Change Due window shows when payment entered, even if they're auto-saving when pmt entered

·Reservation Friend -- when using Swap Sites, it was only uploading the change for one of the sites, not both, allowing conflicts. This has been fixed.

·Reservation Friend -- Give a more specific, clean alert message when doing a download sync and it can't connect at all or if it gets an exception

·Fixed Rack "Avail" calculation to take into account days-of-the-week for non-continuous reservations

·Fixed so inactive E-mail confirmation forms don't show in the selection list when sending an E-mail.

·Fixed server Network Diagnostics window to show the sequence numbers after "Sending xx changes to all workstations"

·Fixed so taxes are not auto-added when Other Credit is used and category selection changed (Credits should never affect taxes)

·Fixed so that if the Invoice # format has been cleared (so no # is put on transactions), it will still bring transations back up in POS window.

·Don't allow an invoice # without at least part of the record number in it

·Removed option for history logging, so it can't be turned off by accident.

·Fix so POS stays closed of operator is auto-logged out

·Fixed Networking so "Connect to Server" works even if the auto-start diag option is disabled.

·Fixed so the Customer's # Adults, etc. fields aren't cleared when a reservation is moved (happened when the resv fields are disabled)

·When changing Sites (or any other case of being in QuickRes with a Resv already selected), don't replace Customer fields (# adults, etc) with the ones populated from the reservation -- also verify that the Resv field is not disabled, to avoid clearing the customer field.

·Fixed POS printing bug that happened when adding item, then payment, then printable memo.

·Fixed POS so if they "print only new" after it auto-saves transactions, then it does print the transactions.

·Fixed TranIsForInvItem() expression function

·Make sure Redo Swipe on Payment dialog does clear the CVC code

·Fixed access level check if trying to add POS transactions to a checked-out reservation

·Fixed so the credit card information is not removed from the Customer record when a reservation is checked out, if they have another current or future reservation.

·Quickbooks export -- added some more helpful error messages for common setup mistakes

·Fixed auto-capitalization on customer name (was a problem if Search done, not found, then Added new customer)

·Don't allow a cancelled Guest reservation to be changed back to Pending, since it can't be re-attached

·Trans Cats -- don't allow Report Heading to be the same as any fixed types (tran types)
